We are transforming Terminal 2 to provide a smoother, more efficient travel experience for the 17 million passengers that pass through the terminal each year.
Major work will start from 1 May 2025 to deliver next generation check-in and security technology to make it easier and faster for passengers to get to their flight – taking just 15 minutes to get from the kerbside to the gate.
While the transformation takes place, the way you travel through Sydney Airport will change.
From 8 April 2025, all Rex and Fly Pelican passenger will depart from T3.
All passengers will use dedicated Rex counters in the T3 check-in hall (next to counters 35 and 36), drop bags and pass through security.
All Rex and Fly Pelican flights will depart from Gate 14.

Passengers travelling with Rex can continue to make use of our short and long term parking options. More information can be found here.

Passengers requiring assistance will be supported throughout their journey by Rex staff as they are today.
All Rex flights arriving into Sydney Airport will land at Terminal 2.
